Bright Horizons Swords is a purpose-built child care centre located at the entrance of the Ridgewood Estate. With a warm homely atmosphere it creates the perfect ambience to entrust your child. The centre has an outdoor play area where children can climb, run and explore in a secure environment. Swords offers high-quality early care and education for babies and children from 3 months to 5 years. We offer full, part-time and sessional care, all providing exceptional care and education for your child.

The staff team at Swords are the foundation of the centre. They are a highly qualified, experienced and established team, and we pride ourselves on the ongoing training opportunities that are offered to all the staff to continue their professional development.

The onsite cook uses fresh produce and plans menus to provide children with a nutritionally balanced diet throughout the week.

Bright Horizons has been consistently recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Ireland for the last 3 years by the Great Place to Work Institute.

Enrichment Programmes

At Bright Horizons children learn and grow through our unique curriculum for learning. “The World at Their Fingertips”. Through “World” children are empowered to become confident, active lifelong learners, supported by a highly qualified, trained and experienced staff team.

The environments within the centre invite children to learn and to see a world of possibilities that are within their reach and our “Ready for School” programme helps children approach school with self help skills and confidence that will enable them to succeed.

Bright Horizons offer our “Growing Readers” programme as we realise the importance of Early Language Development for all our children.

Our Pre-school children participate in a cookery class once a week, which is presented by our onsite cook, and we offer baby signing to all of our children under the age of two, encouraging early language development. For more information on this innovative approach please contact us.

Upcoming Events

ECCE Government Scheme

Bright Horizons Swords is registered for the Early Years Childhood Care and Education Scheme. It aims to provide subsidised pre-school education to children aged 3 years 3 months and 4 years 6 months on 1^st September each year.

Children who were born between 2^nd February 2006 and 30^th June 2007 will be eligible for September 2010, you must register by 31^st August 2010.
